Monkey Life 5

Premieres Mondays from 29th August 6.00pm & 6.30 pm

Monkey World has rescued primates from many different countries all over the world, including: Spain, Greece, France, UK, Austria, The Netherlands, Israel, Cyprus, Hungary, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Taiwan, Vietnam, Russia, Mexico, Chile, South Africa and Lebanon. Their backgrounds vary from being kept as exotic pets to being tested on in laboratories, worked as photographer's props, or trained as circus animals. Given a new life at Monkey World - Ape Rescue Centre, the Primate Care Staff ensure that their charges are given the best possible love and attention for the rest of their lives. Monkey Life sees drama's great and small unfold every day at Monkey World - Ape Rescue Centre!

Monkey Life follows the uplifting rescue and rehabilitation stories of some of the most abused and neglected primates in the world. Nestled deep in the English countryside, Monkey World is now the largest monkey and ape rescue centre on the planet, and home to over 240 primates from 16 different species. Battling the trade in our closest cousins, Dr. Alison Cronin and her team are on a mission to stop the illegal smuggling of primates from the wild, and put an end to their exploitation.
