Animal Planet is deeply saddened by the loss of Jim Cronin, the owner of the internationally renowned Monkey World - Ape Rescue Centre in Dorset, UK, who recently passed away after a fight against liver cancer. Well documented in the series, Monkey Business, Jim's passion for the conservation and protection of wildlife was an inspiration to all who knew him. Jim's legacy will continue under the guidance of his wife, Dr. Alison Cronin. Monkey World and the numerous projects Jim and Alison set up globally will continue as a fitting memorial to a man whose life touched so many around the world. Animal Planet extends its thoughts and prayers to Jim's family as well as the many staff and friends he leaves behind.
