Monkey World assists governments around the world to stop the smuggling of primates from the wild.
At the Centre refugees of this illegal trade as well as those that have suffered abuse or neglect are rehabilitated into natural living groups.
Rescue & Rehabilitation

Once again this Easter, we've got a tasty treat for children visiting Monkey World!
From Good Friday (2nd April) to Easter Bank Holiday Monday (5th April) the first 100 children to enter the park each day will receive a free chocolate Easter Egg!
On Monday 21st, Tuesday 22nd and Wednseday 23rd
December,
from 12pm to 3pm each day, join in the fun at Monkey World and make a Christmas present for the primates!
Visitors are invited to make a feeder of treats for our chimpanzees. As part of their enrichment at the park, primates are given food presented in varying and unpredictable ways in order to stimulate natural feeding behaviours, to ensure that all members of the group get their fair share, and to create interest. With the feeders you make, the monkeys and apes will have to work for their food as they would in the wild.
Then between 3pm and 4pm the same day (times may vary) you can watch the chimpanzees receive their presents in their enclosures!
So come and join in the fun at Monkey World this Christmas!
(A charge of £1 per present applies, towards the cost of the materials provided.)

Spring Bank Holidays and August Bank Holiday
On Saturday, Sunday and Monday every child that brings a banana will receive a free Monkey World badge.

On 31st October any one dressed in full Halloween costume will be admitted to the park free of charge.
