Adidas is a male Mueller’s gibbon (Hylobates muelleri) who was confiscated by the Taiwanese authorities after he was smuggled into Taiwan for the illegal pet trade. We estimate that Adidas was born during 1992 and he arrived at the park on 19/07/00. Adidas has a very nervous temperament. We have paired him with a female named Dalumie and the two now live in a small forest at Monkey World.

Dalumie means “girl from mainland China” in Chinese and she has a very dominant character. The pair now share a small woodland at Monkey World.
