International Orangutan Day

International Orang-utan Day

Friday 19th August

Join the fight to save our red headed ape friends!

To raise awareness and funds for the plight of the wild orang-utan, Monkey World are hosting a special day for all things orang-utan! Join us for a fun, informative day, packed with competitions, crafts and an exclusive talk from Mike.

The café will be serving ginger & orange food in addition to the normal menu in homage to our orange friends. Orangutan enrichment will be the order of the day in the Activity Centre, whilst face painting, crafts and competitions will be taking place down by the Great Ape Play area.

All funds raised around park will go towards the Sumatran Orang-utan Conservation Programme, which funds projects to rescue, rehabilitate and release orang-utans in Sumatra.

We are encouraging all of our visitors to embrace all things orang-utan for the day, and so any visitors who have orang-utan coloured hair (be it natural, dyed or a wig!) will benefit from £2 off the entry price.

Join us on the 19th August to help save the orang-utan in the wild!
